You know, this shot is what got me to watch you. I actually saved it way in my early days of DA. So know as a tribute, I will make it a +FAV

I never read the caption below this before.
Ok, here we go: I told you, when we first started talking, that this is a personal favorite of mine. Though that fact remains the same, the reason why is completely different now. First off, there's SO much to look at in this. I mean, during the school year, this can provide me with at least a good 10 minutes of procrastination!! This used to give me a dark feel when I saw it, but now, I only see a lighter side.
This picture gives me hope. The hope is provided through the layers you've put in this: the stop light itself, the wires, and then the sky. I see this as a stoplight from God. Life gets quite complicated for me sometimes, and wires get crossed, and I feel like I've gotten myself in deeper than I could imagine.. I see this as God putting up a red light and saying, "wait 40 seconds." The waiting provides time to think, evaluate, meditate, and calm down. "Let go, and let God," if you will. He puts up a red light, and sometimes we see it coming in the distance, and we have time to slow down to a stop, and other times, it comes out of nowhere. Then we make the decision whether to slam on our breaks and do what he wants us to do, or run the light and completely ignore the sign he's put in front of us.
As I mentioned above, by stopping at the light, we're given time to "Let go, Let God." He then helps to straighten out our problems... At first glance, I see those telephone wires as just a mess.. all over the place. Complete chaos. But at second glance, when I take the time to stop and look, they're all in perfectly straight lines. Layed out right there, all nicely, before me. And after you understand the lines, and where they come from, go, and lead to, and you take God's word for it, and put your faith in Him, then you can reach the 3rd layer, which is peace of mind, found in the clouds BEHIND the wires. Then you realize how beautiful and grand peace can be.
All because you stopped at the red light! And then it turns green, and He lets you go on with your day.
*Whew.* I know that's a biiiit of a stretch. Sorry. But I can see why your Mom's so crazy about this one. It's wonderful, Nathanial.

Nice dude. Great angle on the power lines, and the combination of moody clouds and silhouettes make this a great shot!

Hey ..... I like this one. All the crossing powerlines is a cool capture. The blurred yet crisp (haloed) effect looks very good....... one of my favorite effects for my own work (as you may already know). The range of colors in the sky are nice as well..... soft and subtle. And very nice text treatment.

wow the powerlines look so sleek and smooth it almost makes the sky itself look like a musical instrument.
i like the red light. it works well with the colours. though i think all three colours would match in their own way =c)
great shot.

The softness of all the elements present here contrast a lof with the chaotic way you captured those wires.
Stoping in the middle of chaos.
