I wanna watch Dark Knight now. Black Knight, Dark Knight, Black Knight, Dark Knight. Huh.Just for the sake of updating~
First Lancelot I drew (digital and ever) with some experimental stuff thrown over him. I dunno, I don't like it, but I haven't had time to do anything else yet and this is rotting around.
Yes, I know it's too dark and you can't tell metal from fur- but I can't fix it. D: Sorry. I'll scrap it later.
Sorry for taking so long on everything... and not replying quickly. I can't find the time, but I will during break. Again, I'm really sorry.
Launcelot and BK belong to Sega and Sonic Team. yadda yadda.

Yes indeed- He ran off to Astolat to compete in a tournament, and while in disguise, he accepted his host's daughter's token because he thought it would enhance his design (he never wore tokens, although they were always available XD ). Long story short- Gawaine figured out his identity, told the court, and Guenevere got mad at him for being untrue. Oh, this happened when Elaine was in court and tricked him into sleeping with her again, which worsened the situation. Anyway, she trash talked him pretty badly and he just snapped. He jumped out the window and disappeared into the forest for 2 years or so, having many adventures of the crazy forest person kind until he recovered his senses and came back to court.

Oh yes- Lancelot is actually a very tragic character. Once regarded the best knight in the world, he slowly fell victim to his passions and ended a disgrace.

Yeah, he was running around the woods for a long time as wild as can be, until he 'fought' (and by that I mean he knocked him off his horse. XD) with this nobleman and basically killed boar with his bare hands,so the impressed nobleman took him to the castle to care for him. But they had him in chains, and then one day he broke free to save the nobleman. And then he wandered some more until eventually he came to Corbin where he was healed by looking at the Holy Grail.
But the way the books describe it is hilarious. XD

Yeah- his wife dies and he blames himself for it (not to mention they sent the body to him in a boat of the dead), his kid dies two years after he meets him and he saw him only three times, he's constantly torn between duty and love enough to have mental breakdowns where he ends up insane, and just a ton of stuff like that. A lot of it is self imposed, but still. =[

You should! They're amazing, and there a ton out there. 83 I've been reading all sorts of accounts and stories, halfway through the Grail Quest now. :3
So, in the version I'm reading- Lancelot doesn't meet Galahad till he's 18 where he knights him and Galahad wanders off to fulfill some purpose. He sees Galahad a total of three times fleetingly after that, in one of which he is defeated at jousting and he's never lost before. Then Galahad, Percival, and Bors go and find the Holy Grail, returns it to Sarrs or some city named something like that where it is taken back into heaven, and Galahad goes, "Oh, my purpose is fulfilled! I relinquish my soul to heaven!" and he up and dies. ]= He died at age 20, and Lancelot barely got to meet him. It was disappointing that the supposed best knight ever had such a seemingly small role and seemed so... perfect it was unrealistic. But he dies! D:

Oh, but that's not all! Percival and Bors were with Galahad on this quest, but in a seperate account, Percival finds it on his... her... own. I think that's the account Sega has drawn upon, but there are some elements from Galahad's story. Galahad's near invicibility, for example, probably has to do with his armor and sword, for lack of a shield.
Innit? ;3; I was so bummed out. Lancelot was too- he started living in a cave near the hermit of the forest and wouldn't see anyone. After that, he never smiled ever again.
That was in Howard Pyle's Quest for the Holy Grail. I bet if you google it, though, something is bound to come up. owo

Yeah, that was a ding ding ding moment for me too. owo Oh, and at one point, a lot earlier, after Guenevere insults Lancelot (he sacrificed a lot to get to her after she summoned him, only to have her scream how unknightly and blah blah when he was at his breaking point ...Lance never had good mental health to begin with) , he has a mental breakdown and runs around raising all sorts of hell. It was really funny, but it reminded me of how he was searching for himself in Shadow the Hedgehog and the whole gray hearted hero or black hearted evil.

Yeah! They put a lot of thought into the Arthurian counterparts, Lancelot fits to a T and Gawaine is pretty good- I'm not so sure about Percival though.
