Both.
I had my head shaved (bald even... it had grown a bit in this picture already), and then didn't do anything with it up to this day (it's been over a year, and it's really long now).
I'm planning on shaving it all off again since the summer is on its way.

Wow. Creey/claustrophobic. Love the indistinctness of it all, it really gives the photo a mysterious atmosphere.
