So, I saw this gorgeous picture on DA, and it turned out to be a portrait of a girl on Instragram. Well, I can't contact her, not sure how.Also, I got to go to an art store this weekend and buy a good grade of watercolors, so I said why not? I gave it a shot and did a fast sketch and paint.
WOW!! Quality definitely matters.

I love these new watercolors, and would like to do something.
I want to practice doing portraits, so if you want. Send me a picture of yourself, and I will sketch and watercolor it for 100 points.

i like yours better, the other one is a bit jagged and doesnβt show as much feeling as yours does. The subtleties of color inherently difficult with watercolor if you donβt control the outcome, and it can be easily carried away with water. You did a real good job on this, without following the inspiration to the letter and going with your style is the best way to go. A completely original piece with a link that looks like the other person took your painting and inspired to create their own work
