CAN’T GET INVOLVED IN A FANDOM WITHOUT MAKING OCS/SELF-INSERTS THESE DAYS. I love how I’m worse now with that kind of thing than when I was a tween.
So yes, in light of wandering back into the NiGHTS fandom, I had to do some Nightmaren OCs. Well, some new ones anyways. My old ones have either evolved over the past decade into other things, or were such bland copies of existing canon characters that they would need some serious revamping.
Here we have Caliris. A level 2 maren, who despite my attempts to make her violin mantis-like , still looks based on some kind of moth. She was intended as an attempt to break out of my self inserts always being based on my lampsona, but it didn’t work. As in, even though I like the design and it’s based on something I identify with, I just can’t bring myself to see the character as a self-insert the same way my lamp-based characters are. Anyways. She’s usually very laid back, almost space-y in how she never seems to be focused on anything in particular. She doesn’t like it when she gets mistaken for a moth creature. Unlike Arc her personality still hasn’t come to me entirely, so that’s all I know for now.
