I almost missed the adult-oriented Hit-Monkey animated series released by Hulu in 2021. Too bad! The 10-episode series voiced by Jason Sudeikis George Takei, Olivia Munn and Fred Tatasciore is simple and fun! No disrespect to the original comics and the series knows it doesn't take itself seriously enough to entertain and make me want to see more of Marvel's assas'simian'!

Created by John Broome and Carmino Infantino, Detective Chimp is a very old DC character, dating back to 1952 ('Rex the Wonder Dog' #4). A time when dogs and monkeys held the reader's interest! The character started out with a less serious depiction - complete with a Sherlock Holmes hat and magnifying glasses - but over time he became a more serious and relevant character to the mainstream DC universe as a member of several important groups such as Shadowpact and Justice. League Dark (2018), when it had one of its best uses by the publisher (in my humble opinion!). Bobo T. Chimpanzee has appeared in episodes of 'Batman The Brave and the Bold' and 'Teen Titans Go!'. And I would particularly love to see a representation of the character in a possible 'Justice League Dark' movie by Gilhermo DelToro (something that maybe only happens in the same universe where Across Crossovers can be found on newsstands!).
