I did this as a commission for a cd cover, but without any instructions, I could decide what to paint (it just should fit to the title "Invasion" and should be with aliens).I didn't have to sell exclusive rights to them, so this could also still be used as a cover for a science-fiction book or something else (except cd-covers, of course).
This was a lot of fun, because I wanted to do some more alien landscapes for a long time (but didn't have the time and inspiration to do that).
Acrylics on canvas, 41 cm x 55 cm
Edit:
I added some details: a plant in the shadow on the left and a skull and bone behind the leg of the creature in the foreground.
I think now it's better.

A video that will be as a music video to a song I like, this video will feature images of space, planets (both on and from orbit), spaceships (exterior and interior), planetary invasion (where I will use your image), stasis chambers and different kinds of aliens.

That orange dinosaur-esk creature is just gorgeous! Fantastic

This is cool. The similar builds between the creatures, with the vertical mouths and just two limbs, makes it seem more realistic. Also like the two craft in the background rushing towards the planet.
On the foremost creature, though, the toes on the right leg seem a little bonier and more spindly than the ones on it's left leg. That could just be the angle, but you might consider it.

I'm not sure if it's bonier, but to me the angle of its right leg (or foot) looks a bit wrong. But I was in a rush to finish this.

It's really a good thing to be compared with Rodney Matthews, although my style is very different (I think this painting rather looks a bit like a mixture of Michael Whelan and Roger Dean)
Okay, maybe the mushrooms look like some shapes in Rodney Matthews' paintings.
