yes! ... that was the point I was making with one of my own photos awhile back ... the opposite direction can often be a better treat

Indeed it can - and that shot completely lifted my spirits in regards to not having gotten any decent shots to work with. It's so easy to forget, especially around here, that while the show over the water might be great, sometimes the show along the mountain ridges is better.
