GIIIFT FOOR 's since it was her birthday yesterday! ;w; I'm sorry I couldn't finish this yesterday... I was feeling really sick x_x;I loved the colouring on Crystal but.. I ruined this with the background and the effects x__x; Ack I suck... no wonder why I barely receive any feedback on what I draw |DD; *sigh*..

Gosh you really didn't have to do this for me, but it means SO much to me.. Crystal looks incredible here, your style suits her just perfect. ;o; I've always loved the way you draw eyes, and here is no different <3 Also her hair looks just perfect here, I love the way her bangs fall so naturally! And the electricity is just STUNNING here, i love how she's got it charging between her hands. <3
Not to mention your colouring is flawless as usual. ;^;

It looks nice. I mean, just look at them eyes. And that cute little mouth, naww! I wish I could make a cute smile like that. ;u;
The glowing effects are heaps nice too, you're good at them! >w< Same goes with the background. There is nothing wrong with it. owo
Although the shading is wrong and stuff, because... it's just shaded wrong. Or maybe that lightning effect screwed it up and...
...you know, now that I think about it, you did screw up the shading with the effects. xD;;

People learn from their mistakes and stuff, right? So this is a pretty good art lesson for you; do the effects before the shading next time.

Holy crap I love you
I was trying to stick to the sonic styled anatomy for once (thin legs and arms, big hands, barely noticeable elbows etc); so I didn't pay a lot of attention to the proportions... sonic anatomy looks so simple, yet I can't do it well aha; Thanks for the redline though, I'll save it for further reference. :'D
And... I think you've noticed already that light sources are probably one of my biggest issues/flaws. I did make (or at least attempt) to make the electric bolts reflect some light on the clothes/fur. But.. as I finished the picture I felt rather insecure of how it turned out, so I erased the layer with the glowing parts. I should have trusted my instincts on that one >:
At least, I'm happy I drew the hands well! <: I hope I didn't fuck up so much lmao

stylistic anatomy is hard to get used to if youre not familiar with 'proper' anatomy in the first place. once you know it a bit more, it makes going back and doing stylish anatomy easier because you know what you can over-exaggerate and still make it look normal.
i dont like sonic style a lot but i tried to keep the anatomy similar with my redline lol, enough to get the point across i guess
and well at least you tried with the reflective light! thats something. most people dont even pay attention haha.

Actually I think the effects came out nice, I really like the sparks in each of her hands. Your shading is really something else, the highlights in Crys' hair and eyes are perfect, and speaking of her eyes, the expression she has is really cute too. Really nice job with this one
