Kaji is an Arcosian. He is not explicitly related to Frieza, but they do know each other. He isn't from the future...in fact, you could say he's kind of from Frieza's past.

I'm proud to officially announce that in the relatively near future, Honor Trip will be featuring a Planet Arcos Mini-Series Special!!! The three-part special will include characters such as Kaji, General Polaris, and Queen Isa, all of whom are featured in artwork among and 's pages.
The Planet Arcos Mini-Series is going to be released this Spring in anticipation of something quite relevant that's coming soon, in the second half of Season Three, and another significant portion of the story in the even farther future ....
I'm looking forward to writing it!
