Media: Pencil, PITT Pen, COPIC grey marker on Strathmore Drawing paper, and then colored digitally with Adobe Photoshop CS2
Here's a detail of my first ZATANNA cover, for issue #12. It used to be for #11, but Editorial needed to switch it. Gotta go draw one for #11 now!

The work on the tux shirt and corset are inspirational! I'm just self taught and mainly do etching to ink, and I'm just to darn slow. To see paint like this is mind boggling to me. Excellent

This may be one of the most beautiful faces I've seen done by you (to my taste of course), which is already something very big to say, as I think I have never seen an ugly female face done by you. I looooove her half smile half sneer (or disdain?) (I had to look up the word for I couldn't remember it in English). Something like "I know I look amazing. You may look, but I dare you to try anything else."
Another thing... it's amazing how a little hint of the fishnet can jump-start our brains.

I'm not familiar with the character, but was drawn to the pic due to the likeness to the wonderful Sherilyn Fenn, of Twin Peaks fame.

Being a Selina fan, Z has been pissing me off for a few years, but can I resist your covers...
So does this mean you now are the regular cover artist for Zatanna?! Personally. I am in love with the corset that you have put on Z, its really a great design element.

Your work is awesome as usual as plainly seen in this small teaser but what really gets me here is the slight tilt of her lips to one side. It's really inspired and moves her out of the realm of another pretty pin-up girl into a living breathing beauty.
Of course it could just be me, but I doubt it. I can see that little hint of a smirk that only you could pull off. Almost as if she's about to break out into a full on smile. Those types of subtle nuances are what I love about your work.
