41, to be exact. I decided on Monday that I'm not particularly good at drawing Spidermen. Which probably doesn't keep normal people awake at night, but by extension I think it menas I'm not particularly good at drawing gesture, motion, or flow in my figures. So I decided to work on Spidey for a week, see how many I could get, and see if it helped.

The result was a bunch of strange anatomy, weird foreshortening, funky gestures, and a surprising amount of fun. I decided to post the whole lot of them, warts and all (with a touch of Photoshops makeup). It was a great exercise, and while I may not be any better at the notorious webslinger, it was nice to connect with some of my artistic heroes, many of whom left their mark on the character (there's even one homage in there).

I borrowed a stock photo from [link] , thanks much for the resource. Spiderman belongs to Marvel, and was created by Stan and Steve (and, possibly, Jack).
