Name: Yu Min Tuan

Age: 20

Nationality: Fire Nation/Water Tribe; Born in Republic City

Affinity: Fire and Earth (She's a slow burn, like a small controlled flame before her temper flares and everything goes up in smoke)

Skills:
Mopping floors: As a water bender she's found multiple uses for her art, even if they are a little less glamorous than she'd like.
Listening: While she does have a temper, for the most part Min is a calm and collected individual that people bring their problems to in order to vent. She enjoys helping people, though sometimes she wonders why they tell her the things they do.
Tour Guide: Min is an avid probending fan, though she keeps this rather fact rather quiet, letting others bring it up in conversation. She obsesses over the sport from its most basic rules to its players and history. As such she knows a lot about the arena and can occasionally be convinced to let SMALL groups of people in and show them around for a quick tour after hours if they know how to ask. (Note: I vaguely remember you telling me this was okay in the chats, but if it's not I can easily drop it. It's more for fun than it is necessary to the character )

Watching the water flow over the cold stone tiles it was hard to believe she was here, in the center of it all. Sure she usually worked the ticket counters, but that was a far cry from the heart of the building. She could hear the cheers from the arena, wild, frenzied. According to the radio her favorite team had just won another match. It was incredible, unthinkable. Real underdogs climbing to the top. And one day that underdog would be her. As the announcers start prattling off scores and statistics she sighs, switching off the small radio. No more time for daydreaming now. She'd worked too hard to get her brother this job and badger-moles if she was going to lose it for him too. With a deep breath she begins to bend, pushing and pulling the mops through the water inside their twisted fibers-a trick she'd learned from her distant, distant cousin from the swamps a while back. It wasn't probending by any means, but at least it got the job done-- fast enough that she could sneak into the training rooms for a quick practice session before the shift was over...

It's the sound of approaching footsteps that make her lose her focus and allow water to spill everywhere. The stern arena manager's frown sets her immediately on edge.

"Are you Rotan?" his expression? Perplexed. Rotan was her brother's name after all, officially she wasn't even supposed to be here, but he'd had a big audition with the Green Street Fire Dancers...

"Ah, yes sir?" she answers nervously as she gathers the water back and returns it to the bucket. Spirits if he was here to check up on--

"Well miss Tan" he continues, breaking up her brothers name into what she could only assume was his attempt to reconcile it with the person in front of him. "Congratulations. Jun is short staffed this week so you've just been promoted. Starting tomorrow you'll be working at the ticket desks." Without any pause for argument he walks away as swiftly as he'd arrived, leaving a confused and baffled Min where she stood.

"But sir......" she voices, her complaint unheard. "I...already work there....."

Her brother was going to kill her.

Additional Info:

Current Job: Ticket Taker by day, janitor by night.
- Min occasionally takes over her brother's janitorial shifts at the Probending arena so that he can attend auditions/practices with the various performing troops and theaters throughout the city.
- Min comes from a relatively well off middle-working class family; her mother runs a small spa and waterbending clinic popular with the city's elderly because of its very traditional foundations.
- Her parents met in republic city after coming from their respective nations to study at the university there; her father is a nonbender from the Fire Nation and her mother is from the northern water tribe. Both are very practical people and have tried to instill that in all of their children.
- Min has three older brothers, one younger brother, and a baby sister evert single one of them dotes on.
- Min takes after her parents with her love of books and odd expressions/made up words.
- She doesn't spend a whole lot of time in social settings--not that she dislikes them, she simply gets just as much out of a party in ten minutes as most people get in two hours. She has other things on her mind and not enough time in the day to do them all.
- Min is traditionally trained water bender but loves to experiment with different forms and techniques-even if most of said experiments end in failure.
- She's a terrible cook and will take just about any offer of free food, whether it be a date she doesn't necessarily want to go on or a bribe to get a quick tour of the Probending Arena Building.
