love the shot man, i bet you only had a few seconds to prep b4 losing the shot amirite? yeah, snap shooting is definitely fun, but i usually kick myself when the opportunity rises coz my cam was on the wrong setting or something like that.

I didn't prep...I shot it from the hip while walking. If you look like you are going to take the picture peoples reaction changes, so I learned to shoot while holding the camera at my side.

NP. One tip is to set your aperture and focus manually so that anything at a certain distance is in focus, then you can point and shoot at things in the range without having to worry about the autofocus.

I need to see this city through a different lens. All my work is indoors, or macro. There are so many street scenes all around me that I don't notice until I see pictures like yours. I guess I don't spend enough time during the day thinking like a photographer

Just carry your camera around for a while everywhere you go, and learn to shoot from the hip, sometimes it's less intimidating to people you are shooting if they don't even know it. There is a bunch more city stuff up at my flickr, most of it shot from the hip.
