Wanting to practice making digitigrade legs, I made this friendly... if not a little bit derpy looking, dragon pup character.The tail is separate from the legs and admittedly the fastenings are probably more elaborate than they need to be to keep the tail on firmly. But, I've learned a lot for my first attempt. The legs have belt loops around the waist, the tail is also hung via a belt loop and kept in place by Velcro on the rear of the legs, there are also buttons at the bottom to secure the tail firmly.

Could you elaborate on what you mean by half-suit? I'm guessing it would be a fursuit composed of pants (the legs) and armsleeves, where in place of the suits top you wear a shirt instead. Yes, no, maybe? d:

Awesome! I have been considering doing the same, so finding an example of it made me happy.
Are the arms made up of paws and sleeves, as in two separate pieces, or paws "all the way"? Do you have any in-progress pictures from when this suit was created?

the arms and hands are attached as one piece, its some times a better idea though to have it so that the glove part has a hidden split in the wrist so you can poke your hand out if you need to, I haven't tried this yet, but it would probably be a necessity for gloves with poor dexterity (like really chunky pawpads).
I don't have any progress pics of this one, but I'll be working on another half suit pretty soon, I'll get some progress pics and put them up on my blog (I don't post enough up on there anyway XD)ย
The full suit commission i'm working on at the moment will have some progress pics though, its a kinda similar process, but full body instead. They'll be up when he's done around September/October time if all stays on schedule

I either go to Derby market, or i use ebay, specifically this sellerย stores.ebay.co.uk/swincraft2 because the fur is amazing and they are based in Birmingham which isn't far from me.

It depends, if i'm making a very specific colour suit i'll buy what i can get at the best quality. But if its a typical colour, I'll always go for the super-luxury fur because its very thick and shaves really well.ย
For the muzzle, i make a side profile paper template, then cut out the foam and then shape it with scissors once its glued in place. check out youtube, there are loads of building tutorials

I can't really tell--which direction is the fur going on the arms? It looks like it's going towards the chest instead of the fingers. Am I just looking at it wrong?

The white is heading towards the fingertips but I dun goofed with my last piece of blue and sent it on the other way.

I'm charging ยฃ300 for digitigrade leg commissions, but that includes foot paws and tail. ยฃ150 for just the legs.
