Description
My end of a trade with the lovely =ellaine ! Killed my hand for twelve hours straight yesterday to finish it (about 20 hours in all), but it's finally done. Featuring her mysterious characters and symbolism from her haunting "DollHouse" stories. You'll have to ask her about them, I don't know for sure. ^__^ Done in pencil, of course. I've been doing a lot of pencil work lately...Characters © =ellaine

Hmm, the only thing I don't like is her nose, it looks too mannish and her hand is very bony and strong. Girls have more slender hands. Well, that's my two cents, everything else is perfect.

If you look closely, something is wrong with her visible hand. Sorry to offend you, but some of her fingers are deformed, plus I meant that you shouldn't have emphasized her hand bone and the soft part of her hand's too big. I know that you made it smaller, it still looks to strong and full to be a woman's hand.

I agree about the fingers, but I do not agree about the hand. She's a working woman; not all women have perfectly tiny and dainty hands.

I'm in love with this piece. It makes me want to learn more about the story behind it, the story behind those characters. I see his hand is held over her heart- but her hand almost seems as if is trying to keep his hand from reaching it, even though she is cradling his hand with her other one. So I wonder if she is warring with herself. She has these sad-looking eyes, but a serene little smile.His attention seems drawn elsewhere. I wonder what it is he must be looking at.
I don't know. That's just the type of thing I happen to get from that piece. As to your artistic skill, I'm in constant awe and amazement. You have a very distinct style, particularly in the way you draw human faces. I always love to see your work, and this is a particular favorite. ^^

It's wonderful.
It's great seeing things done in pencil. No doubt it's a great art doing things digitally, but pencil has some dreaminess in it's line, the stroke on paper... It's a tad more organic then digital work with it's more 'dirty' shading because of paper's and pen's surface.
Ah, well... It's great, I do like your art. This one's so absent of evil...

characters are beautiful as always but what really got me is the picture which they seem to be comming from with all the detailed twigs, vines ect
