Description
"On July 2, 1995, Birth Island was suddenly obliterated by a colossal volcanic eruption. LittleGodzilla vanished in the smoke, and was presumed dead for nearly a month until he reappeared without warning off the coast of Japan. Now standing 40 meters tall, and resembling his father more than ever, the juvenile “Godzilla Jr.” appeared in Tokyo on a psychic summons from Miki Saegusa, and despite Ms. Saegusa’s decaying psychic link to the young one, managed to defend her helicopter from the encroaching aggregate Destoroyah. The young monster blasted the shape-shifting brute into an oil refinery, and apparently killed it in a massive explosion. Exhausted from the battle, Junior lay down in the heart of the city, and waited silently for over three hours as G-Force concentrated its efforts on evacuating the rest of the city – Godzilla was coming.
The glowing, burning king of monsters, slowly approaching meltdown point after absorbing a fatally massive dose of radiation, made landfall at 9:37 PM, and Junior rose to greet him – but before they could meet, a mutated and perfected Destoroyah rose from the refinery’s ruins in his gigantic final form. The abomination flew across the city, scooped Junior up in his massive claws, and carried him over a thousand feet in the air while injecting micro-oxygen into the juvenile’s system with the tips of his sharp claws. Dropping him from this height into a skating rink, Destoroyah blasted him one last time with the micro-oxygen ray before turning to confront the adult Godzilla.
Junior’s prone, silent form was confronted twice in the next hour – once by Miki (whose helicopter had been shot down by Destoroyah), who had just enough of a psychic link to realize that Junior was nearly dead, and once by his father, who tried to revive him with a dose of radiation. The latter was to no avail, and Godzilla turned on Destoroyah in a terrifying rage.
After Destoroyah’s death, and Godzilla’s meltdown, Junior wound up saving everybody; silently absorbing the intense radiation from his father's remains, Junior mutated one last time, and soon stood tall in the vanishing cloud of radiation as the third Godzilla…
This sketch was drawn from a photograph I took from within my helicopter, shortly before my wonderful pilot airlifted Ms. Saegusa out of the ruins of Tokyo."
Reality check: this is Godzilla Jr. from "Godzilla vs. Destoroyah". I do not own the rights, Toho does, etc etc...
