There is very little I can find wrong with this piece. The quality exceeds all originality expectations from the carving on the skin to the simply but precise weed hanging from her lips. Although the colors blend very well together to make this kind of surreal trick of the eye, I feel that there were some things that could have been finer tuned. While it is clear that the guardian is the focal point, I feel that the shrubbery at the shaft of the tree could have been more predominant and have a bit more solidity. Even if it remains as a blurred distance, it would still provide the coverage and better ground the idea that this is a forest dweller and that she is indeed one with the plants.

Other than that one, mild complaint I'm quite in love with this piece. I'm a profound nature lover and find that you capture the essence of a ethereal forest creature very well. Well done, always a pleasure to watch you.

I felt a sudden surge throughout the air. It was subtle yet sharp, like a scalpel through my spirit moving through like it were nothing. It was as if a feeling that something has opened up around me and finally awakened to the world once again. A feeling of caution slowly rises around me as I began to trek across this fertile land with silent, observant steps. A vast canopy of tall trees grew about me, each one's crown glowing warmly with the bright sun above; its lights arching down through the openings above like pillars of energy feeding the earth below. The green plants around me flourished about this landscape, with each one vibrantly coloring the areas around you as if they all stood forth to welcome this strange traveler into their land and presenting me with a warm and inviting display of their vibrant natural colors. The air was flared with the sounds of animals moving through this leafy landscape. The sounds of caws, screechers, squeakers and scuttlers...all sending their wild sounds into the air, blanketing the forest with its own personal soundtrack. The trek began to take longer than I thought, as I felt that night was coming quicker and quicker. As I moved on the sun bid its goodbye and disappeared from the horizon as nightfall began to blanket the wood. As I prepared to settle in for the night, I saw something that made me stop in stare at all that was around me.

"It’s...beautiful," I thought to myself.

The plants and flowers began to glow, as if the sunlight before was stored inside of them from the day. The light showered the trees and leaves like I was under some wondrous sea of energy. But it wasn't just the light that made me stop and stare. Moving slowly in the distance was a strange figure like none I had ever seen. A feminine figure moved through the leafy terrain under the same warm glow as this world. Her gorgeously curved form was textured like smooth varnished wood adorned with various markings of clouds and the skies above. A flowing curtain of silk covered her body and hugged it gently under its smooth embrace; colored crimson like the passion and life of her realm. Her silken hair flowed like the many vines from the trees around her and was decorated with a crown of vibrantly colored flowers and plants. As she got closer to me, she presented me with a warm and welcoming smile as well as look of calm and gentle wisdom. At last I realized, this was her kingdom, she was there queen and I was grateful to be in her presence. Forest Guardian, created by *aditya777, presents us with a very lush and colorful view of the forest kingdom and its beautiful guardian, with all the wonderment that comes with it.

Starting off, there's quite a lot to be said about the detailing of the subject's form. Each curve, shape and line is very well articulated in her conceptual construction and gives off a feeling of life that she herself represents in the composition. One can almost imagine her swaying her arms in the cooling breeze of the forest as the warm and gentle glow of the sun anoints her body and throne. There's a lush and eye-catching use of greens and subtle hints of yellows, blues, reds and oranges here that give the piece that much more visual variety and keeps your eyes darting about the piece for more to take in and absorb. The foreground and background present a very nice encompass of the forest's embrace about the landscape and the subject, further adding to that feeling of immersion that help this piece along quite a bit.

While there’s a lot that works in the favor of this piece, there are still a few things here that could be done to improve upon the groundwork. Starting off, some of the features of the subject could be further detailed upon like her arm in silhouette. More of those details should be tightened up a bit and allowed for a little more creative structure. Some of the elements in the background and foreground that make up the scene could use some of the same treatment mentioned above. Most of these elements carry a bit of a sketched and rough appearance to them that give the piece a bit of an unfinished look to it. Try and build on more of the detail and structure of the primary elements as a whole and don't be afraid to add or subtract as you go along. One more suggestion would be to see if you could even expand on the main piece and add more to the overall landscape with the female figure sitting and looking out toward the further expanse of her domain, presenting a higher sense of scale and immersion to the piece for the viewer. Keep experimenting more and more with this piece and you'll never know where it'll take you.

As far as pieces like this go, Forest Guardian is indeed a tight composition with a solid concept about it. The primary subject detail still shines through very well and the lush color usage does a great deal of justice to the whole piece. While there are some parts of the composition that could do with a bit of revisiting and touching up, there's still enough here to for the eyes to take in and absorb. i really like this art work i the like the originality of it , i love the techniques and i like how the girl is part of the tree , from far distant you would think only a flower growing from tree , but as you get closer you could see a girl setting on a tree.
i like how you match the flowers on her head and the branch of tree, the left arm and leg are perfectly done , and well shaded
the design on the the right arm and leg gives it the uniqueness of this artwork. the lighting on the girl arm and leg are very impressive

Through the designs on her skin and the shading/highlights of the flowers closest to her, to the bottom area; unfocused and only consisting of a few colors. This piece really is great.

The areas you selected to put emphasis on and the ones you chose to slightly stand out from the background work great together. I can honestly say that I love it. I can only hope to be able to create such a piece in only four hours time.

My only advice is to possibly have some sort of bright object or colorful part around the bottome right area in order to balance the drawing more. Maybe a flower in the foreground, infront of everything. It's difficult to come up with anything more critical than that.

I love the releaxed almost nonchalant pose she has!

The colours are serene, but looks like the sun is peeking through the branches to show off her flowers and intricate bodyart.

Some parts are more finished than others, but I think that is what makes this piece so charming; you detailed the parts you wanted to draw attention to, and left the rest quite loose an painterly. I love this. Just because it is not uniformely rendered does not mean the looser areas don't speak volumes. We don need to see everything in minutely rendered detail!

You've shown perfectly well, that less is more.

This piece is a definite story-teller, and I absolutely love that. The environment, the character's posture and expression, and little details like the twig in her mouth all come together to sell this as a moment in this girl's life. She feels alien enough to be a fantasy creature but real enough to be believable. Well done!

I think the composition is excellent. The eye is encouraged to wander around the whole painting but always comes back the focal point around her head and shoulders. There's plenty of rich detail to take in even in the more loosely-defined parts.

Speaking of which, I love the atmospheric perspective on her arm and leg. Makes it feel like she's sitting just inside a ray of light that's peeking through the canopy.

My favorite thing about this piece is the texture pattern on her skin. It makes her seem like a carving that's come to life, and that's just rad.

Great work!

I think I'll just go from point to point on this one.

Her tattoos are very lovely and fit the characters image and role as a forest guardian. The greeness in them also adds the feeling of nature. Still, the shape also remind you of wind or waves with their roundness, therefore doesn't match the forest theme.

Some colours are sharper and the drawing is more detailed towards the hair, her arm and face. It looks good but makes you look almost only at the center of the picture and leaves the rest rather unfinished. If you've made such a pretty picture, make the whole picture so. e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Smile)"/>
