EDIT - The original Artist Comment had been about the Gorillaz fandom and how they seemed to just arbitrarily hate Paula. But then, when the popular artists of the fandom started drawing her, everyone else started to as well. My attempted wit wasn't easy to understand, though. So, now I'm just going to say that I had a fun time drawing this and no, I don't hate Paula.

I like to call this phase 0. The per-Noodle days. I have no real beef with Paula even if I am a hard-core 2D fangirl. (To some degree...) Yes, I know she cheated on him, but ya know what? Murdoc was just as to blame if not fully and fans still love him. At least he had it coming though, when his nose got broken. Even though I still like Noodle better than Paula, I still like Paula as well. I couldn't really hate her even if I wanted to.

i luv this picture! actually before i figured out the REAL storyline of paul "gorilla" i was a very die hard "paula-must-die" fan. but after i found out that all she did was get funky with murdoc in the tiolets and cheated on 2D (ok, that part i'm still not very happy with), it came to my senses that there's no reason why i SHOULDN'T like her. and after i listened to ghost train a million times and started to draw her more often, i became a paula fan as well. her role in the gorillaz history was great! i love her buck teeth, it makes her funky and pretty... that was awkward... :3! great job, and sry for the long comment... hehe!

She had sex with Murdoc in the Kong bathrooms while she was dating 2D, and all the fangirls hate her because they see her as a threat to their 'chances at getting with 2D.'
Personally I think the whole thing is silly. Paula has never even been in modern Gorillaz things, and we have no idea of her actuall personality.
