The army of the Byzantine Republic is a 420,000-strong conscript army.
The Byzantine army used to rely only on its sheer size, but they wanted to change that. At the end of the 1970s, West Germany helped restructure the Byzantine army for decades.
The Byzantine Army had some cavalry divisions equipped with light tanks such as the M551 Sheridan(today with the ACV-19 LCT90 "Palatinus"), but the rest of this type of division was built like a normal armored division, which is why there were so many IFVs in relation to the number of MBTs in service
