I'm still pretty new at this myself, really Just do it a lot and you get better at it eventually. Look up game sprites and look how the animations are done in them

A good jumping animation also. I like how you've got the twist of the head and the little ears bounce up. You've also landed the legs very nicely, which can easily be done wrong, but you've done it right/ Well done.

I'm personally really glad how the landing animation turned out, I haven't really created a proper one before.

Have you got a history in animation or something?

Not really, animating has actually always been one of my big weaknesses, but now about 5 finished games later I'm starting to get a bit more hang of it.

ah well you're doing an incredibly good job. My old animation teach would be impressed. You should look at taking a short animation course, like TAFE or something, if you have that where you live. But don't do it through uni... A short practical course. Although you're obviously getting tons of experience on the job. Looks great

Might be interesting. I've never been on any classes, I just learned by playing a lot of games and looking how the backgrounds and characters are done, and looking through sites like VGmaps and Spriters Resource for reference.

I have actually not created anything pixelated on my job, in the company I work at I draw stuff like the normal drawings in my gallery. [link] I just draw with pixels for my own little projects outside my day job.

ah ok. Yes looking at how other people are doing it is a great way to learn, it's 'the' way to learn. Nice, your other drawing looks good too
