This marks my first art trade! I had this stock horse on that background from my indecisive stock-choosing phase of my previous image, and I was too fond of this composition to abandon it once I'd gone and cut out the horse. (Yeah, I know. It's a serious case of indecision that results in me cutting out two stock horses. Usually I narrow it down to one before I test out backgrounds.)

Naturally ~HorseWhisperer101 's character Verofaza on The Secret came to mind. Because I'm a whore for art of my characters, I figured I'd propose an art trade. It certainly motivated me to push this past the initial colour-balancing difficulties and finicky cloning. If you're not familiar with HW, go check out her gallery. She has really improved by leaps and bounds lately, and is definitely an artist to keep an eye on. I'm excited to snag some art of hers.

Woohoo! I love working with water, but for some reason the splashes and blending was trickier on this piece. I guess giant splashes with lots of depth require a lot more time than little hoof splashes. I'm pleased with how it turned out. The parts I added look like a part of the wave! I think.
