This is a request on Another Studio [link] for Kae. This is her TB stallion character Set. He's lean and mean, but not too mean cause he's a hemophiliac and would rather not bleed to death.
I love encouragement and suggestions for improvement, and I respond to all comments. ^.^

Absolutely LOVE the mane. The random bit on his neck flopping the opposite way of everything else is awesome. Reminds me of my horse's mane. Before I roached it. Now everything just sticks straight up. But that's the point. He pulls off the mohawk look.
Anyways. Beautiful job as always. Though I think the tail should be curving up not down, since it looks like he's landing after jumping the big log. Since his rear isn't going up anymore, it's coming down. It's past the peak height.....[shuts up and stops rambling]

Yay mohawk manes! I love it when they stick up straight.
The stock horse didn't have a tail, so I had to improvise. I just tried to make it flow with the body's movement. The stock images leading up to this landing show the horse taking the jump very slowly, so I didn't expect there would be much vertical movement.

Speaking of my poneh's mohawk, it sucks right now. It finally started falling over so I cut it, and now it's all short and uneven again -.- [fails at being mane trimmer person]

Excellent work, and you did a much better job on the tail this time. The only thing that bugs me is that bit of mane on the left side of the horse's neck. It just seems a little too rounded, if that makes sense. Overall this is great.

Thanks! I'm still working out a technique for painting manes and tails, but after a few more I think they might look decent.
