Thank you. It was the same base file but I tried real hard to make it unique while still holding to the series.

Hi Jeff,
I really like the concept here. I like all the circuit board stuff going on at the bottom. Perfect title.
Fav.

Yeah, the funny thing is I still have the original image that both were made from. For the upper sections, I was thinking of the first Star Trek movie with all the inner chambers and strange shaped sections of V'ger.

Fortunately, UF has some great tutorials built into it. It's the only fractal program I know of that does. There are also some tutorials in the UF group *Ultra-Fractal that might help out. The good thing is that the merge modes are very similar to photoshop layering, so that should give you some ideas on how to stack up layers to give more depth to your image. There are hundreds, maybe thousands of formulas, so I recommend using a Mandelbrot or Newton to start with. Those two are extremely user friendly and should give you an idea to start with. Don't worry about masking and mapping right now. You can work with them later as you get comfortable with the interface.
Above all else, join the mailing list that's on the UF site. People donate images that you can pick apart and see how things work. All you do is copy the code, open the program, right click on the default image, then select paste. The code will build the image and show you all the layers.

Use :dev followed by the name of the person/group and close it with a second : . That makes a link to that deviants page.

Beautiful, Jeff...you know that I have no clue how these images are created right, and that fact makes me aware that there is a whole dimension to this type of art that I can't appreciate because I dont know what it took to create it. What I "do" know is that I think it looks beautiful, to me it's very "Excaliburesque"
