Description Finally my Ventura build is finished! After a couple months of working on this kit with some set back like getting sick and taking advantage of nice weather.

The Kit: The kit is the Revell 1/48 Lockheed Ventura. The kit overall was very good, most things fit together as shown with very little need for filler. The wings were very easy to glue onto the fuselage, this was made possible by a wingspar, you can't mess up the dihedral! The only things I really struggled with were the the landing gear doors and the bomb bay doors. Detail isn't bad on the kit, better then a lot of Revell kits.

Finishes: I painted the model with Humbrol enamels and used the decals included with the kit. The aircraft is painted after an RCAF Ventura based out of British Columbia.

Lockheed Venture: The Ventura was designed as a successor to the Lockheed Hudson. The Ventura saw mixed results with the RAF, they had initially tried it as a low level bomber, but found it unsuitable in the skies over France. The Ventura then took on a maritime role which it continued to do until the end of the war. Canada used the Ventura in the same role as did the USAF. The Ventura saw service in both the Atlantic and Pacific theaters. After the War Canada continued to use the Ventura in different roles as a trainer and also a target tug among other roles.

Thanks! I like how the blue and grey compliment each other. I only wish I used an airbrush.

Thanks man! I'm happy with how those colors went together. The American tri-tone scheme is nice also, but doesn't pop as much. My paint work is flawless to a point from a far distance away lol

welcome buddy, i think its great and nothing can be exact. there is always a proper distance to a model, fining that distance can be tricky.
