I wish there was an alternate timeline where the baby metroid survived at the end of Super Metroid. The moment the metroid hatched in front of me, I was in love with it. Normally they are terrifying, but this little one was just...so small and so cute.
At the least, I'd like to see a Samus-only item spawn in the next Smash Bros game where the baby metroid comes in and eats an enemy into dust.

Excellent piece of work. She almost looks like a mother nurturing the young hatchling... giving the whole scene some depth. Very nice.

Super Metroid is one of the greatest games ever made. There should be more artwork of armourless Samus, good work! (But if there was, would it lose its appeal? Half her charm is that she's so mysterious...)
