Nice! The gauntlet looks very powerful, and there's something to be said about the pristine-white of his shirt collar compared to the scruffed-dirt spots of the rest.

True. And thinking about it, collars were de-tachable from the shirt in Victorian fashion (and often different types were changed out every now and then). So that too would account for a clean collar...
