Read LEFT to RIGHTI can have such a bad sense of humour some times.
This comic will not make sense unless you have read the Detective Conan manga. If you haven't, then you should! It is truly great. One thing that annoys me about this series however is when there are codes to solve and as a reader you sit for hours trying to figure it out only to find that it is impossible unless you know Japanese.

Just found it myself (binge watching Detective Conan online, in the 70s out of 700+. x.x I'll finish eventually) and this is hilarious. I was wondering if the sleep dart'd affect him eventually, like this or a tolerance over time.

LOL. That is really dark humour. I've read an ff on fanfiction.net where it happens. Kind of sad, but one possibility, even though I'm fairly sure it will never happen that way in the manga/anime.
Maybe instead of dying, he becomes immune to the sleeping drug and only plays the falling asleep part. I've read a ff about that too. Kind of funny and logical all the same.

I think I remember a case in the comic where Kogoro had become partly resilient so Conan had to shoot him several times before he fell asleep.
I suppose fanficion is for covering the things that won't happen "for real" on the show.
