This was entered as an entry to the Philip Morris Asean Art Competition, but didn't get any prize. The jurors are more on the modern and abstract art. The title is Celia's Nightmare. The story behind this painting is about incest. The image on the mirror is her past and the figure at her back is her at the present looking back at her past. There are lots of symbols on each images in this painting for you to read visually. Notice the scars on her back, the reminder of the abuse she underwent, the crack of the mirror emanates from a white rose, symbolizes once she was a virgin. Done in oil on canvas. 38" x 62"
