I really love what you have done here! It is amazing because it is not overboard difficult but at same time it not something everyone can do.

Looks mostly like a generic face, but eh it looks pretty good. The skin tone looks fine enough so you did a good job on that.
Also while we are at it: [link]

Also just a heads up, the xbox 360 version of the game has been leaked...so i'd suggest you to watch yourself. Spoilers might be everywhere, I accidentally clicked on the skyrim thread on the forum I usually visit and the latest post in it had a spoiler in it, a cool spoiler that I don't really mind but still.
Also the soundtrack got leaked, oblivion has over 25 tracks in its OST. While Skyrim has over 200.
I listened to some of the soundtrack and just wow, Jeremy Soule definetly outdid himself. The soundtrack sounds absolutely incredible !!!

I'm thinking about something similar, only a female version. But in Oblivion, I ended up using different weapons, magic and stealth all with just one character, so I'm not going to specialize in anything.

My first character on oblivion was nord, so I am probably going to be nord as well. I only mostly used melee in oblivion since well archery sucked ass and mage ehh I couldn't really get to that. My second character will probably be a good looking female thief, no more charging at enemies and decapitating them.
Kind of funny how in like 5 years or so we will look back at skyrim just like we currently are looking back at oblivion.

Seeing that intro for the first time must have been one of my greatest gaming experiences ever.

And hopefully in 5 years we'll be waiting for Elder Scrolls VI.
My first character was a Dark Elf, Akatosh knows why.

Yeah, the faces in oblivion were the worst part about the graphics. Otherwise oblivion still looks good.
I mean wow skyrim actually has women in it what....are actually good looking and look human. Wow huge accomplishment.
And pfft fuck those normal people. WE ARE THE MASTER RACE. Skyrim must be worshipped! Make 11 november a worldwide holiday. SINCE THATS THE DAY THE WAR FOR TAMRIEL BEGINS! FUS RO DAH!
Also is it me or does Todd Howard look pretty young considering he is in his 40s ? [link]

Yes. We shall create an elder scrolls cult, where we dress up in dark robes and worship bethesda game studios, elder scrolls and most importantly todd howard. Our goal is to look as cool as possible and also to convert the mortals who play shit like cock off doody modern borefest 3 into our glorious beliefs. Also we will need to nolife the shit out of any new elder scrolls game.
We would look like that [link]
Also fun fact, this is the entire skyrim development team. [link]

Yeah I know, it would be the dominant society. If the whole world could just sit down and play skyrim there would be no wars and a lot of world problems would be solved. Heh,heh.
Also ive been brain storming about the skyrim mod, its going to be big. Thankfully I don't have to worry about voice acting, since thanks to my previous projects I have quite few contacts who are really talented when it comes to voice acting. Here's some examples just because why the hell not [link] [link]

Yes it won't just be a simple mod what adds maybe like one new quest or some new weapons, nah I am actually trying to do a a mod what has more than 15 hours of content, new game map, brand new npcs with new dialoge, new weapons etc etc.
It sounds insane, but I love insane things. It's definetly going to be hard. I am going to need 3d modelers, animators, concept artists, coders (most important mostly) etc etc. I will be learning the creation engine so chances are I will be doing some level design aswell as doing 3d animation and texturing.
Why such a big project ? Because bethesda would notice it, thus greatly increasing me and pretty much all of my team members chances to get into the gaming industry.

Well if you wish to help then sure, your gallery is pretty damn good. If you'd like to do some concept art for the mod, then sure you are in. Right now I don't need that, I just need someone to brainstorm with.
As of now I thought it would be intersting if the mod would take place in Hammerfell (the homeland of redguards). Here's a brief explination of the geography of hammerfell.
"Hammerfell was an arid land consisting mostly of deserts, mountains, and grasslands. The few forests of Hammerfell were found mainly along the coasts and along the borders between Hammerfell, High Rock, and Skyrim. "
I thought it would be intersting to have it take place in desert and tundras etc, kind of considering how skyrim takes place in a mostly cold snowy area. But at the same time, would exploring a mostly lifeless desert be that interesting ?

Hammerfell sounds good. I don't think that this area is any less interesting than Skyrim.. you've got mountains, which are always cool, and deserts and grasslands.. well you can just throw a buch of monsters and dungeons. In Morrowind, lots of places looked exactly like this.

Fun fact, I also mostly got the idea of hammerfell from how good the deserts in red dead redemption looked like. [link] Just absolutely beautiful.
So, you in ? I could really use someone with the talents like you have.

Pfft I am sure you won't, you are quite talented.
[link]
Also well, there is currently nohting more to do to maybe discuss the setting and maybe even the storyline with you. If you want to you can try drawing a desertish tundra landscape with big mountains in the distance, just mostly as practice and I would like to see how you can deal with that kind of drawings.

Alright, I'll try to do that at the weekend.
How big will be the area you want to do? I assume you won't cover entire Hammerfell..
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
CmdShepardN7 In reply to Aerenwyn [2011-11-03 21:11:25 +0000 UTC]
Definetly not the entire Hammerfell. It will probably be cut to half mostly or something like that, we'll see. The trait of having a smaller map is that you can make it more detailed, I mean it could be a huge map but hell no will i will be able to cover the entire map in details enough to make the huge map look good.

Aerenwyn In reply to CmdShepardN7 [2011-11-03 21:27:41 +0000 UTC]
What about the storyline? Do you want to stick with the traditional Elder Scrolls beginning - that you're a prisoner that somehow gets out of jail?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
CmdShepardN7 In reply to Aerenwyn [2011-11-03 21:30:06 +0000 UTC]
Well since this isn't really elder scrolls, we could experiment a bit for example you could be just some random blacksmith who somehow ends up saving the tamriel. But at the same time, being a prisoner is good as you can actually that way kind of make your own character. And the other way it would just be forcing the player to play as some kind of a certain character.

Aerenwyn In reply to CmdShepardN7 [2011-11-03 21:38:37 +0000 UTC]
True.. Well you have to decide if you want a really good and interesting storyline which will probably determine the main character in many ways,or if you want the mod to be just about exploring a big open world doing what you want.

CmdShepardN7 In reply to Aerenwyn [2011-11-03 21:45:18 +0000 UTC]
I am mostly a sucker for good story lines, so even while it will be even harder to make if it will actually have a proper story line. The overall quality of it would improve a lot and the mod would stand out even more, well you could still explore a open world and do what you want when there's a story.
Also, going a bit random here but there definetly needs to be a reference to that [link] in the mod.

while we are at it, lets include her as a npc [link] (see what i did there).
and that as one of the new enemies [link] (see what i did there again ?)
You're knowledge of history would help a lot, I had an idea of having armor what are a mix of both actual historical armors mixed with fantasy.

I thin kit would be the best if you would read through this: [link] the lore for elder scrolls is actually really detailed and well made, sadly it doesn't get that much attention.
About the climate, well skyrim isn't just snow everywhere. There are some forest areas etc, while there may be some areas in hammerfell what are just hot and dry deserts. The coast of hammerfell is pretty much where most of the forests will be, which makes sense since near the coast area it gets colder.
