"No. No splitting up. No going back until we catch something."

Hani and Yama headed out to the fringes of Aspendell to look for a bouquet of pheasants that were spotted there, only to find the intruders had gotten to them first. For Hani, it was beyond frustrating. The drastic loss in prey over the last few months was giving her grey hairs. Somedays it felt like she and Lawson were never off their feet. It was beginning to wear her down. Not to mention she'd been eating less. Hers was not the only mouth to feed, and if going without meant more for others, then she would do it. Yama wasn't a stranger to this way of thinking. He'd been pushing himself relentlessly for months, one might even say to an unhealthy length, but he had nothing to show for it. Despite their strained relationship, it hurt to see his mom this way. Both of his parents had a lot of weight on their shoulders and he wished that he had the capabilities to help. Wished he wasn't such a sloppy courser. Wished things were better.
