FINALLY I have finsihed this piece, oh I'm so glad it's finally done. I had re-done this 3 times becasue I just couldn't get the feel of the colors or the painting style after bounceing from photoshop to Painter, then back to photoshop. This version (the last aka #3) took two sittings. The first was nearly 10 hours straight (including breaks and eatting) and the second sitting took roughly 5 hours.... so.. about 15 hours total just for this complete version.

Now to explain what the heck this is from. It's my version of what Guild Wars 2 (an epic MMO game that is soon to release) based on the concept art and vids I have seen from their offical site (guildwars2.com). In this piece, I feature a Norn gardian casting protective sheild spell (there's a fancy name which has slipped my mind) to prevent her downed friend, a human eleimentalist, from getting even more harm or killed. (fyi, "downed" is nearly death in the game's terms for anyone not following what I'm talking about) The ele is also casting a spell, she is placing some ice spikes to hender the ice/frost wurm's movement.

The ideas for the Norn's armor was based off some Norm concpet art I found [link]
The ele's armor I made up my own, but also reference from the stock model. (see below)
