Role in story: Diablos is the demon sealed within the protagonist Leon. In the prequel, he doesn't play much of a role as he is sleeping through most of the events. He awakens when he senses Jalaiya's powers, forcing Leon to almost kill Katie in one event, and try to hunt her down in the next. During the first book, Diablos helps teach Leon how to use his powers, warning of the dangers and perils of continuing to live his life. He becomes some what of an angry mentor, usually suggesting extreme choices.
Weapons/Arsenal: He only uses his broad sword, having named it Light's Extinction. Its blade is black, giving little to no shine even in sun light. It can cut through just about anything, even spiritual or god like entities. The weapon can transform into its own version of any of the prior weapons it has fought, giving it a wide variety of attacks and unpredictability.
Appearance: Because of the curse, whenever Diablos takes control of Leon's body, his skin turns pitch black and his hair turns crimson red. His body usually appears as if it is enveloped in flame. His eyes are bright red, glowing with intense anger and hatred. They glow brighter depending on how furious he his. Diablos has curled hair like Leon's, even before he lost his original body, their looks almost exactly the same. His expression is either emotionless usually, or bitter looking, an almost permanent scowl on his face.
Powers: Controls Hellfire (a type of fire that burns and melts through anything, with very little exceptions), can absorb any sort of heat or flame to heal himself, can teleport anywhere he throws his blade, slowly regenerates when he doesn't use fire. In a back against the wall kind of situation, can manipulate other elements with a great cost of power. Repercussions for doing this are he will usually be drained, meaning he'll be knocked out or killed if the prior attack didn't kill or defeat the opponent/s. His mastery of using fire gives him limitless ways he can use it, able to cause explosions anywhere he strikes from the intense heat. Can concentrate this heat into a single point like his sword, creating some sort of lava like beam to form. Usually uses this to use a final strike as this take a great deal of power to use, to a point where missing could leave him vulnerable. Can make craters of magma shoot from the ground all around him by concentrating power into his fist and smashing it into the ground.
Background: Diablos was the first creation and first and only demon created by Life, the creator of angels. Because of how vastly different he was, Diablos was rejected by demons and angels, as well as other creatures. The one angel who accepted him Laura Ramona, General of Harmonia, a corrupt colony of angels that seeked to destroy all demons, good or evil, as well as angels that didn't have their royal bloodline. Diablos went berserk for a short while after he had hunted Laura down, tearing her and her army apart almost effortlessly on his own. He was found shortly after by a few knights of the Lioness Kingdom, who were all slaughtered. Not wanting to leave him unchecked, the soon to be King Lioness sent Jalaiya after him to prevent more unnecessary deaths.
After a fierce battle, Diablos was about to kill Jalaiya when a sudden pain distracted him, giving her the opportunity to defeat him. He was brought to the Lioness Kingdom. Despite being cold and numb to affection, he slowly opened up to Jalaiya sensing similarities between the two. It was after conflicts with Death, who wished to reap all life and restart it how he see fit, that he discovered that Jalaiya was the first and only angel created by Death, much like how he was the only demon created Life. After long periods of time fighting and going through conflicts together, they eventually began to grow affectionate towards each other and even love one another.
Death, furious at his daughter for her betrayal, broke out Life's latest creation Leon, and used him to slaughter the angels who had begun to start accepting her. Looking very similar to Diablos, Jalaiya believed it was Diablos who had killed her family. This was what lead to their resentment and eventual hatred of each other. After a terrible battle and conflict, Iris, Life's third creation, stopped them from destroying each other by placing them under a curse that tore them away from their physical bodies. By Life's command, Iris sealed Diablos inside of Leon, hoping that eventually the light inside of Leon would heal all the pain and anger in Diablos's soul. Together they were sealed for centuries until they were eventually found by archaeologists who became Leon and Iris's step parents, unknowing of their origin. To this day, Diablos still feels the need to destroy Jalaiya, and uncontrollable rage filled inside of him, as well as regret for the events that had unfolded.
Personality: Because of how long anger had been held within his years sealed away, Diablos comes across as bitter and angry. His view of the world is dark, not holding a belief in happiness or ties between other living beings. He opens up slightly to Leon, their bound souls slowly beginning to take after each other. Diablos is cruelly blunt, and isn't afraid to point out the terrible things that may or will happen, no matter how much Leon doesn't want to believe them. Despite the stories, Diablos isn't evil. He doesn't care for saving people, as he's no hero, but he isn't the type to blatantly kill something for no reason. He isn't afraid to hurt anyone however for information or if they appear to be a threat, this includes Leon's allies.
Hobbies: Hating everything. Dealing with Leon's decisions in any matter. Trying to block out Leon's moments with Katie or anything that doesn't involve fighting.
Likes: Fighting powerful opponents, breaking his enemies, setting things on fire
Dislikes: Jalaiya, Katie and her entire family, angels in general, friendship, love, pity
Fun Fact: There is a part of Diablos that misses the way things were between him and Jalaiya, but the curse and the pain in his soul don't allow him to sense these feelings.
