I can't believe people actually waste their time on hating over a measly little font. I mean, it's so ridiculous to the point where people actually want to ban it. 
I have nothing against this font, I think it's one of my favorite.

Overused and wrongly used, everyone knows. Worse though: the point of a font is to effectively communicate, and it does a crap job of that. It's an aesthetically poor font and a slew of typography problems. The contours are messy, the kerning is screwed up, and it's poorly designed. Readability becomes a problem because of this; that's why it's a shame when people use it for comics or other things that depend heavily on text. Someone can like how it looks, but that doesn't make it any easier to read.

Some people have good reason. Some don't. I think I have one. Totally overused in my entire childhood, for some reason teachers seem to love it while the actual students complain about it behind his/her back. I think I was part of the complaining, but in the end no actual action was taken.

Most underrated font ever. A lot of people are like, "IZ SOOOO STOOPID ND I CANT TAK U SRSLY!!!" What happens if I'm NOT trying to be serious? What happens if I'm trying to get the idea across that someone is a child or is writing it? No kid is going to write in Edwardian script. The only fonts that work for kids and even most ADULTS is Comic Sans and Segoe. That's it. But I personally like Comic Sans more.

According to what I've read (this - [link] ), Comic Sans is hated because it's overused and often times wrongly used, according to those aesthetic-conscious (read: neat freak) people. And then it grows into a fad/meme.
Seriously, I hate it when "hating things" become a meme in the first place (like the hate on socks and sandals, Justin Bieber or Twilight for example).
On the other hand, I think Comic Sans is cute and cool. XD

Of course the overused is what sends it over. People tend to be like, "IMA GOIN' BE DIFRENT CUZ DIFRENT IZ BADASS" so they pretend to hate something. Often times so much so that they think they do hate it. Until they see/use it properly then they're like, "Oh there is nothing wrong at all!" Since so many people hate Comic Sans, sit back and watch. In like, 10 years people are going to hate Comic Sans so much that there will be people like, "IMA FOOKIN BADASS IMA GOIN UZ COMIC SANS CUZ IM DA SHIT!!!!" and start using it again.

I adore comic sans because I need it for my manga type XD; I don't understand the hate either. Granted, I don't really like seeing it used for anything but comics, but that's me.

lol thanks for supporting Comic sans. however, it's sometimes consider a weak font for a adventurous and exciting comic... unless it's cartoon base.
My guess is that "Anime Ace" is a better font type to use in your comic [link]
