Art Deco Style Steampunk Corset:
"Wolkenschnitt". Version 2 ( more details more special coloring and inner lining)
Ist was the price winning object at the "Creativa Fair" in Dortmund Germany 2014 in the category " Special craftsmanship"
Basic shape of this unique leather corset is a historical pattern of " baroque epoche"
and was created by hand by me in about 110 hrs workingtime
From editing the raw leather, develop the pattern, color scheme and tooled leatherwork, everything was done by me.
Details:
-Sturdy, yet flexible, 2.5-3mm leather, vegetable tanned from Germany Allgäu (bio - leather)
-Soft , black leather as inner lining.
- Front and side elements : Pattern in Art Deco style with elements of magnificent buildings of the 1920s.
- Entire corset tooled by hand
- Special ornate ,antique look, coloring in gold, mahagony, brown, copper and brass sheen
- Frontelement: A big, winged, art deco valkyrie with
a blue stone set in a brass frame
- Back: stable lacing of 2 layers, modeled in the form of "spine".
Brass locks with gears.
Fits a standard size of 36-38 (germany), S-M (international), 10-12 (GB)

Ganz fantastische Arbeit, wunders chöne Details, einzig das die Schnüre in weiss sind ist mir persönlich ein zu harter Kontrast zu den tollen Farben des Leders

Das ist auch nicht die original Schnur. Keine Sorge. Ich hatte nur ein sehr enges Zeitfenster von 10 Tagen für eine Messe und wurde auch grade so am Versendetag fertig das ich weder die richtige Schnur fand noch richtig gute Fotos machen konnte. Die original Schnur ist viel breiter und ein dunkles beige was definitiv besser paßt

Excellent attention to detail and the craftsmanship is probably as good as the details. As a curiosity, what would you charge for an item of this caliber?

It is in an exhibition until end of may, after that i will sell it for around 1800 Euro/ 2500 USD or i could make similar corsets / men armor, as well simpler works without that much ornate design or without inner lining of soft leather and so on. I usually charge 15-20 Euro/ 20-25 USD per hour + material costs. On this corset i worked 90 hrs. And another version with a bit simpler design was sold for 1200 Euro
