Love the energy you have in this pre-lim. You are very good at keeping it in your inks, nevertheless there is always a certain amount missing in the cleaner, final versions.

Not gonna lie, I wish I could use negative space and find light sources like you just did. I've been trying so damn hard to try developing a sin-city style art style, and I SUCK. How do you do it? How do you come up with a scene and render it in high contrast like THIS RIGHT NOW?

Study and work your ass of in comics and art in general.
You do this 12-16 hours a day and eventually you get to Art's level.
