This picture could really use a real big spider in middle of the spiderweb, then it would really be perfect. The wood texture could be a little sharper too, because i like to focus on wood texture <.< xD You have ruined that spiders web? It seems broken. The photograph looks a little bit grainy and blurry, maybe because you wanted to mainly focus on the web part? Hmm. I can see the places where it goes from blurry to grainy, and that isnt good. For my taste, it could also be in darker shades and have more levels. But overall it looks neat. Good job !

Ah ok. Well, you definitely do well with framing shots. I was going to ask you if you've ever been interested in shooting film. I think that you could do well with it. I also like the challenge of it. I used to shoot film way back in the way back and then switched to digital after swearing not to. I find digital somehwat limited these days though and I refuse to use photoshop or things like that.

i STARTED OUT with film and i loved it. hardcore. but, sadly, i do not have access to a darkroom anymore, and that was the part of it i loved most

doing film first is probably the reason i pay attention to my framing so much. i'm pretty OCD about it... making sure i get it in frame, and cropping out stuff that is distracting...

i see film photography the same as learning to drive a stick-shift before automatic...: it just makes you pay attention more.
among other things ^_^

Well said. I like tht metaphor of stick versus automatic. Well, if you are ever looking for info on film photography there is a great group of extremely nice, helpful people that I was introduced to on here one of which who was the person who got me into all of this and answered my million questions. The group is called All About Film. You can find some great photos there too as well of course.
