Description I’m back!!!!

After a long hiatus I’m back and ready to kick ass.

As if my job didn’t use enough of my time, Forza 3 has taken be to the edge of insomnia. But I found the time to produce this baby. Its a 2010 Varis kitted Evo X inspired by the Forza 3 racing team I’m a part of called F1-evolution.

F1-evolution ( F1E ) is a racing, design, tuning house specialising in all things EVO. We regularly host competitions ranging from car design to full on racing championships.

I am producing a series of images to boost publicity for the team and attract new members. This is the WIP.

If you are interested go to [link] and join. Its free and everyone’s welcome.

Man, i like that model a lot , but i feel that the car can be shown more realistic and at mybe bigger renders , because it's a really good model as i can see , it's just what i have in minde when i saw it.

I know. I’m a bit amazed that I haven’t got rusty.

Basically my old workstation got nicked by some scumbags that did over my house while I was rushing home to a serious family emergency. And then the insurance company wouldn’t pay out claiming it was a scam.

Nightmare

i don't dig the white side mirrors and the front splitter. i find the dip in the middle kinda weird. just my opinion. nice mix or red and cf hood and trunk! nice deep ce28s! great evo x!

The splitter isn't as bad as that huge rear penis sticking out. What were you doing with that wing on the back? It looks like you couldn't decide whether you wanted it on the track, or in the clouds. BTW, it's Melons, and I look forward to racing you again soon. Varis everything=good, except the rear-wing though.

Hey melons.

The perceived size of the wing is an optical effect caused by the wide angle lens on the camera within Maya. If you look at the render its a better size.

The wing is actually a bit shorter than the width of the car and only half the height of the roof.

And anyway, if you think this is big look at JCGT/DTM cars.

The mirrors are white in anticipation of the racing decals. The F1E racing theme is red and white.

Nice call front splitter, in the render its alot more floppy i have sharpened it up a bit

The model looks awesome! Nice clean lines all along and great materials!

I know what you mean by Forza3 and insomnia lol I just bought an xbox after christmas as a little present to myself, and got Forza3 as my first game. I´ve been playing as much as I could since then, because I just love all the cars and that finally tuning means something more then adding some fake spoilers and neon (also it´s quiet accurate). Too bad all the cars feel like their overweight 10times at least, otherwise it would beet every racing game ever

I know what you mean about the weight. But, i cannot stand the understear. Anything 4WD understeers like the front wheels are greased, unless its an Audi. Is rubbish that because Audi had the cover car all there cars dominate and i think have a slightly higher poly count.

Haha, I never tought that Audis were so good in game, haven't tried any yet. The first drive with that R8 was very bad, felt like the worst car I've driven so far.
Yeah everything understeers a lot more then it should, my old astra can turn way better then any "tuned to A class" FWD car in game. This can be compensated a bit by setting the car up like a WTCC/DTM car, with insane camber on the front wheels. I also like adding 1-2 degree toe-in to the rear and 0,5-1 degree toe-out to the front, it helps, for my driving style at least.

Its all about tire pressure, springrates and anti-roll. I only run -1.0º camper front and -0.8º rear, for drifting I run -2.0º front and -0.3ºrear. toe i use +-0.1/+-0.2, I never use more than +-0.5.

Cheers mate.

Sadly this is a quick and dirty render to showcase the model. As you can see the render is out of date compared to the Maya screen grabs, even though I only produced this render at lunchtime.
