Description

This is one of my two first crossunder bridles ever - there were hiccups in the process so I ended up splitting the first one into two bridles. One fits smaller warmbloods and the other will fit bigger. Scale traditional (1:9). Made during February 2023.

This one got a browband from dark violet 3 mm satin ribbon, and seems to be too long. It is also very possible that the bridle itself is climbing to the horse's eyes and thus pushes the browband up too. I learned that this mold has a really weird scrag and he NEEDS a tight throatlatch to keep the bridles in place... The cheekpieces especially are an issue, and no less in anything bitless. I wonder if anyone else has to fight with that? Maybe I also ditch the idea of gluing the crossing straps almost entirely twofolded - I decided that the undersides should not show at all when it is in use, so guess how stiff the straps became then? It was annoying. I also fought a lot with the length of the crossing straps, and reglued them several times.
