Description A hovering dragon-dog-creature! I picked these earthy colors because I hadn't tested brown and green from my new Promarkers. Well, now they're tested and I like especially the chocolate brown. I used markers for basecolor and then shaded with colored pencils. On the background I used colored pencil and then softened strokes with a cotton swab.

Title comes from these colors as well.

Too bad my scanner hates green so this was horrible picture to scan. At first background showed as yellow but I managed to adjust colors so that they look almost as they're in the original version. The result is a bit darker and blurrier than in real life but this is the best my scanner can do.

O.o What color is Byrophyte's tongue and inside of mouth? I am working on your ACEO and can't seem to find his other reference. . not sure if mouth color is on there but I don't want to color it wrong ^^'

That's a good question; I haven't even thought about that myself!
You can use the same color as his nose is, green. ^^
(But if you already colored it with some other color, no worries!)

oi, tästä tykkään jostain syystä ihan älyttömän paljon! värit sopii tosi hyvin yhteen, ja hyvin oot varjostanu jne. lineart näyttää siistiltä ja pose on luonteva. ja noi lehdet on kiva lisäys, tosi ihanasti piirretty ja väritetty.

Vähän mietin, että pitäiskö kehitellä tästä OC, että vois sitten sijoitella tätä hahmoa muihinkin kuviin. Täytyis vaan keksiä tarina ja ominaisuudet ensin. Tai sitten vaan odottelen, että ne putkahtaa jostain aivojen syövereistä itsestään.

En muistanutkaan, kuinka kiva lehtiä on piirtää, eli niitä saattaa näkyä myös tulevaisuudessa. ^^

Ei OC:lla aina tarvitse olla sen kummempia tarinoita, yleensähän ne on semmosia hahmoja jotka vaan tulee jostain ja alkaa esiintyä kuvissa useamminkin; tarina ja sensellaiset tulee sit jälkijunas
Pitää joskus kokeilla tommosia sun tyylisiä lehtiä, aivan ihania ^___^

I think you should really carry on with the marker-pencil combo, it gives your art an almost digital feel to them. Not that your ones before were n't bright tho...
And have I mentioned how creative your creature designs are yet? XD

I guess because the result with markers is more solid than when I use just colored pencils it makes pictures look a bit like digital paintings. ^^

Tämä on ihan älyttömän hieno!! Ja pääsen taas kadehtimaan noita sinun taitojasi keksiä jänniä ja omaperäisiä fantasia olentoja
Lisäksi tämä tekniikkakin on hieno. Haaveilen itsekkin kunnon tussien ostamisesta, joko Promarkerit tai Copicit (jotka sekoittuu toisiinsa sulavammin kuin promarkerit), mutta ne on aika kalliita varsinkin kon Copicit myydään yksittäis kappaleina...
Ja vielä siitä skannerista... Ihan hyvähän tämän kuvan laatu on. Ja ole iloinen että skannerisi edes toimii. Omani on sökönä ja sen takia kaikki kuvat täytyy siirtää kameran kautta koneelle ja kuvien valot ja sävyt kärsivät.
