great work, these are such lovely sketches, I love the one in the middle that is half rolled over

Thank you! I thought it would be fun and useful to draw some practice sketches for a change. Drawing trimmed pictures can be tiring sometimes.

I can handle animals but I suck at drawing people!

Cute! Nice pose on the whole body one at the bottom. Books can be a good reference sometime.

Thanks!

I think books are great resources when practicing. And their pictures are easier references than living models - pictures stand still! But I guess it would be useful to practice drawing live models too.

Can't say much but good work with all of them. Personal favorite: The one lying on its side in the middle. Playful little thing.

I tried to practice different poses and angles; drew these quite fast without erasing.

*giggle* good drawing and poses, reminds me of my wolves from my story and my dogs.

:3 thats some great use of positioning, I'm useless at it if it isn't head on or side on.

Thank you! I tried to practice different poses; I also find drawing head sideways the most easiest.

surely you can't call this a study if it drawn from another picture?
studies are generally from life, a study of life if you wish?

i love the one rolling over however, nice clean placement of paws ^_^

I am not native English speaker so mistakes happens now and then. What I meant with "study" was something like practice. But thank you for clearing things up and thanks also for compliment.

Really good selection of poses. How do you keep your drawings so clean? I don't notice any 'ghost' lines from eraser marks or smudging. I get that all the time.

Agaave In reply to LadyGrimbones [2009-04-01 07:01:43 +0000 UTC]

Thank you! ^^

I didn't use any erasing in this picture so that may explain missing ghost lines. I always use clean piece of paper under my hand to protect already drawn parts so that prevents smudging quite well.
