yesss the third of the halloween browbirds, and one i've been especially excited for >:3c there's also some interesting lore bits i can't wait to reveal if the design reaches the halv tier! I'm also so proud of how each one of these is coming out, and it's so awesome getting to try out special traits and making extra fancy designs >:3c I hope y'all are enjoying it as much as I am! And thank you for the support so far.

Special Companion || "Pashmina" the Ilithede

This browbird comes with a special creepy companion, a creature known as an ilithede! Which are much like large centipedes that we know. They often wear it as a cozy scarf, and will have it aid them in tasks of all sorts. Ilithedes are usually extremely dangerous and venomous, especially to magic-users, however with the unique wood magic this browbird posses, allowing them control over many types of fungus, they are able to keep it calm. In all honesty, it's a pretty creepy sight...
This creature counts as a unique companion and will offer special bonuses in the arpg.

This story is optional! I went a little overboard.

♢ - Not all of the worlds and islands scattered across the vast celestial seas are bustling, heavily populated worlds like Centuary. Many are smaller, farther out on the edges of civilization, with more limited technology and old fashioned ways of living. Such is the sort of place this browbird originally comes from!

♢ - A small world out where the astral waters are thin, and where planets are few and far between at the boarders of the Faraway, sits a small world named Mahiz. It's a lovely little place, dedicated to farming and simpler lifestyles with a very small population and much of the world covered with farmlands and small villages.

♢ - This browbird had been brought there before they had even hatched, and were adopted by a lovely farmer couple that discovered their egg left on the front porch. From there, they raised this browbird as their own child and taught them their way of life! Using their wood and speech magic, they sing songs to help the crops grow!

Though... Things certainly couldn't remain happy forever.

♢ - One evening, during a grand harvest moon that basked the whole countryside in an orange glow, offworlders descended onto their land. This was not uncommon, people sometimes would visit to purchase goods or to see the sights on farm worlds like this...

♢ - But this was not the case this time. The strangers quickly revealed themselves to be pirates come to plunder the resources and gold of the planet using whatever destructive means necessary. This browbird fearlessly stood to protect their home and land from the invaders, but was quickly dealt with, left dying in the fields they once tended as the thieves lit it ablaze. In their last moments, their heart full of rage and sorrow they had heard a voice calling out to them, one they had not recognized... Only later would they realize that it was the call of the void god.

♢ - They had been offered a second chance at life, and the power to do away with the ones who had caused this mess. Without knowing the full extend of the deal, they agreed and soon awoke.

♢ - They stood again, filled with a new vigor they had never felt before and with this new found energy they felt compelled to call out in song. As their voice echoed out over the burning farmland, everything in the surrounding area began to rot and decay. Realizing what was happening, the stronger of the invaders found the browbird and lashed out at them, trying to stop them from using their magic. But nothing could be done... They stood strong, and with each blow dealt to them grew thick bark to serve as protection and help them heal. The song did not stop until no one but them was left standing. It was then they had begun to realize what had happened.

♢ - Their form now riddled with painful branches and endless sprouts of fungus, they wandered in search of aid, causing decay to their surroundings with each step.

♢ - With everything they touch turning to dust, and without the ability to eat in this form they eventually fell unconscious. They awoke later, no longer a monster and briefly convinced it had all simply been a bad dream, but this was shattered upon the realization that everything around them had been turned to dust for miles.

♢ - With no knowledge of anywhere they could return to, they set out to uncover why this had happened to them, and to find a way to reverse these effects... Or at the very least to discover a way to use their new found powers for good.

Extra notes:
- I imagine they write their own songs, but also will sing common folk songs that their adoptive parents taught them! Their voice is very beautiful as well in their regular form. However, while in their halv form if they speak a single word above a whisper, things around them will start to die. Their songs could render a hundred fields a barren wasteland.

- I imagine they give off a very ~pure~ type of vibe. An angel without wings of sorts when not in halv form!! ;v;

- Uneven markings because I love... uneven markings...

- In halv form they attract many types of bugs! Bugs and mold/mushrooms/fungus seem to be the the only things their deadly powers have no effect on.

-Fun fact: Corn is a very popular food item in the celestial seas, and it's a huge favorite of browbirds!

This halv is the first example of one who has more negative side effects with their form. While their magic is enhanced drastically, their actual physical form is weakened from the transformation. They cannot eat in this form, and can be injured very easily (though they can still heal quite fast luckily!) After their initial transformation, they are able to shift between the forms freely, however bad injuries, high levels of exhaustion, or extremely stressful/scary situations will force them to change for a time!

♢ Browbirds are a long-lived, space-faring race with wondrous advancements in technology and the ability to manipulate the mysterious magical energies that flow through the many worlds of the universe. Long ago, they faced a massive demon-based threat that nearly wiped the entire species from existence, and now a people that were once hanging on by a thin thread have managed to rise up, travel, and populate even the most distant worlds and, in time, have slowly made a name for themselves across the Celestial Seas.

♢ Your browbird can be of any type of profession you'd like! Whether it be merchant, traveler, map maker, mercenary, knight, mage, potion maker, bread baker, dragon tamer, pirate king, shoe polisher, monster hunter, ninja, telemarketer, local hobo, ect ect whatever you want! They are a very versatile species and their magical capabilities make them suitable for many different things.

♢ Since browbirds travel the stars in all kinds of ships, and have access to many different portals and teleports, they are able to meet and interact with hundreds of thousands of different races and species. You are free to write their stories involving your, or your friends other characters. Whether they're browbirds or not!

♢ In the future, there are plans to have various group activities and opportunities available to those who own browbirds!
