I took this shot yesterday as I was driving around northern Vantaa, Finland. It got incredibly foggy all of a sudden so I stopped to take pictures of a field, in which there were some trees and barns and stuff.I left the camera to expose and ran behind the tree to flash my flashlight couple of times.

very unique, this technique of long exposure with external flash bursts. i like it a lot. maybe enough to get an external flash my self and do some experimenting my self. you have inspired me. thank you.

Brillant idea, the minimalistic framing is really interesting and the non-use of the rule of 3rds is smart here. The tree cuts the balance from the flash light.
At the first glimpse, I thought a car was just behind, but as the light is vertical it can't be, then I thought it was one of those lighting ballons + a long-expo + a few wind that created that effect. I must admit that I never thought about a flash. This is a great idea you had here !

where the painter needs a genius in choosing and applying colors and materials to compose the artwork of his dream, a photographer has to observe, and once a "right" hour has come: grab it and snapshot the hell out of it
