I took a picture of a flower like this in Florida a couple months ago. It's really pretty!

No idea what this flower would be called in English, but I grew up knowing it as a gumamela, in Tagalog.

Tagalog... forgive my ignorance, but where is that place? I assume somewhere in East-Asia like Singapore, but I really don't know...

Oh, no, that's alright! My mistake for not expanding on it! Hee, it isn't a place, but a language. I do live in Singapore at the moment, but I moved here a few years ago from the Philippines, where I'm really from. Tagalog is the main dialect spoken there.

LOL at some of the comments about "suggestive flowers!" 
I love the brilliant color here--it literally leaps out! Flowers may not be suggestive to me, but they certainly can be "show-offs," as this stunning bloom quite obviously is!
