I'm currently reading a very good book (The amulet of Samarkand by Jonathan Stroud) and Nathaniel is one of the main characters. I sort of fell in love with his character, because he both reminds me of Harry Potter and Artemis Fowl - perfect combination, in my opinion. He's a talented wizard-in-training, a bit rash, very lonely, clever, and extremely proud. One who longs to prove he's better than the rest of the world thinks, and he wants to break out of his boring life - that's what I tried to symbolise with this pic. Love ya, Nat!Related content

yes! i think johnathan read the script and there getting all the peices together, it used to be on [link] but i searched for it and it was removed, i think they want you to get a membership and access the "in construction" part of the website. but it is supposed to be comming out! im excited!

I fear it's going to be just like the Artemis Fowl or the Temeraire movie: both were announced years ago, and so far nothing happened.

Just an update: I met Jonathan Stroud this summer and he says that the rights to a movie have not been signed, and there aren't any plans so far. I think he realises the importance of this, and wants it to be done properly and well if there is eventually a film

He saves the world from the golem and dies in the process. I don't want to read book two because I heard he turns really evil in it, and I won't read book three because he dies in it. I'll always remember him as the cute, loveable, downtrodden little hero from book one.

I read that book too. I liked Bartimaeus, but Nathaniel was too....whiny I guess it is. He wasn't my kind of protagonist, I guess.
