Description
Another model devised for use in the Operation Sealion wargame. A typical English country pub to slot into theSussex village which British forces will seek to defend against the invading Germans. Built from a Hornby kit with a few little improvements. Painted in acrylics throughout and (retro) period detail added - ie, this is 1940, so no TV aerial. All the pub windows have been taped up against bomb-blast.

Thank you! I'm glad you appreciate this. I will try to post more photos, ideally ones that set this building into a context with other buildings and features I have built and designed for this project. The ambition is to create all the salient features of an English country village somewhere on what would have been the German invasion coast (Kent-Sussex-Hampshire) in autumn 1940. These will include this pub, post office, houses, rural garage/petrol station, church, village green, village school, et c. It's an ambitious build, but moving to completion!
