The Seaknight

Born to a poor family, Arkel’s dark and larcenous history paints him with a rogue’s brush, and his flighty personality only sharpens this perception. Few trust him, and many rumors of him being a pirate prior to his Knighthood have dogged him throughout his entire career. Regardless, the man’s bladework is stupendous, his spellwork creative, and his loyalty stronger than steel.

The Seaknight’s magics are nominative – water first and foremost, but the canny mage’s use of wind, ice, and even life magics have seen what would be a merely talented mage reap accolades of a genius one. He is an extremely active, errant knight, rarely seen in the halls of Arcanus for his unending fieldwork. Most Mageknights of Arcanus defend Calathan directly – Arkel defends it far and abroad. He would easily make Knight-Master rank, again, if not for his roguish personality and disregard for authority.

While he has no love for the Alahere, his love of adventure saw him cut in line to get assigned to the “suicide” mission.
