Description 2014

196cm x 45.5cm x 25.5cm (77.2in x 17.9in x 10in)

I'm still quite excited in how well this one turned out! Maybe a whole series in this style...
I love the delicacy and fragile nature of it and how truly unapologetic it feels in being so.

Lots of different shapes depending on how you view it so be sure to visit my gallery for additional pictures and detail shots!
Main one being the arc formed in the middle by the miters. I like the way it seems to utterly lose form when a source of light is introduced from the front.Β

Ingredients:
Mitered and soldered 4mm (0,15in) brasswire
Oak base lacquered black

(Title in english: Gleam, glimmer)

Absolutely elegant and elegiac at the same time - again, I'm very impressed. I have the least affinity for sculpture, of the many techniques and processes I've explored, and I find your work convincing in attitude and sophisticated in composition. I see you working toward a cohesive vision - it runs through everything I've seen so far - very impressive.

This just might be the most heartwarming and encouraging comment I've had the pleasure of receiving from anyone, anywhere thus far. Truly strengthens my resolve. I'd hug you, but this being the internet, just know that these sentiments are wholly sincere. Thank you!

You are so welcome. Your work thrills me. I find it immensely satisfying. Sculpture can do that to me. Years and years ago I saw a Donald Judd exhibition of his Steel boxes at MOMA and was blown away - he transformed my idea of what was possible in sculpture. YOu have the hand, sir!

You flatter me! I truly appreciate your enthusiasm. It is rare that such passion is so clearly transmitted through writing (comments and such). Stay tuned, as I have one big (the largest yet) and two small ones coming right up (well, in a few weeks)!

Wow, thank you for the kind words. I wanted to add this to Deviated-Path 2015 Sculpture folder, but it's not open. This is even better! Thank you very much for adding my work!
