Description Spoilers:

I was wondering when I'd get to colouring this. Looks like today was the random day. XD I like how this came out. I still hate doing backgrounds.

I know Alfred never transforms into his dragon form on Arianus but~ Arianus is my fav world... so deal with it. harhar

Dragon Alfred is always the greatest~ The pose you put both of them in is great and really has that action-packed feeling, as if they were in the middle of a fierce battle. Just started re-reading the novels again for some nostalgia~

Thank you! I adore this series and have read it I don't know how many times. I should really do some more updated artwork for it. I wish there were more people familiar with the books. Makes me sad. ;-; So glad you like it! Death Gate Forevah~!

I love these books - and I'm so glad to see some Death Gate art with Alfred in it (he's my favourite) - and in his cool dragon form, no less. Awesome!

*squeals* A fellow reader! There are so few of us around. *whines* I love Alfred to death. I love how in the beginning of the series you're kinda like "Eh" to his character and than he just grows on you. Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman are just such good authors. ^^ Glad you like the pic. One of my faves. ^^

For some reason I loved Alfred from the very beginning - I initially skipped over book two when I realised he wasn't in it (I went back and read it later and found that I liked Paithan a great deal - he reminds me a little of Pukah from Rose of the Prophet). I like the way they handled the transition of Halplo and Alfred from "mortal enemies" to "best friends". I'd have to say that three and four are probably my favourites from the series.

Too bad there's not a club or something. These books are so woefully underappreciated.

Book I is also one of my favs, Hugh is awesome. >3 I don't know why I didn't take to Alfred in the beginning. I think because his character seemed to be far too much of a side character. Plus there was a lot going on with the kikseywinsey (sp?) that I didn't really care for. The second one boosted my appreciation even more due to the cute interations between the elves and humans. The third was a bit dry for me. I think because it was kinda slow and necromency I'm just kinda like, eh, even though the third book is a huge plot point. lol Fourth was pretty good as we have the humans, dwarfs and elves again. Fifth and on it just got far too good for my own tastes. I wasn't too happy when we ran into Merit as I didn't want anyone to be with Haplo. XD But she turned out okay. I feel bad for Alfred for loosing his love though (can't remember her name).

They should make a club. These books really deserve much more than they've seen. I tried to get my friend into reading them but she couldn't get into the first book. She really liked Bane in the beginning of it, than she found out he was an evil little kid than she stopped reading. T.T

The first book is probably the hardest one to begin with - which is rather ironic considering it's so important to what comes later. I remember it took me several re-readings before I actually understood most of it and got all of the little nuances of the story.

I wasn't too big of a fan of Marit either - especially since I liked the interactions between Haplo and Alfred before she showed up on the scene and there weren't as many afterwards. Also, the woman Alfred was in love with was Orla.

Ahh that's right. She was pretty cool. Sad that she gave up like that. I wish the first book wasn't so difficult. I bet that was why the series didn't take off as it should have. Arianus was always my fav world. ^^

Thank you~ I love Alfred to bits! <3 <3 I love when I force my friends to read the series, they're all like "Alfred irritates me." And I tell them, "You will learn to absolutely adore him."

Thank you for the comment and the +fav on it. Glad you like it.

XD Yeah I had to do the same thing. I read the series in my sophmore year in high school which was about four years ago, and I just re-read them again within the last six months. I found them all at a used book store so I was very excited.
