Aquilaan Empire alien race Concept Art

Kalipsaania: Inhabitants of Kalypse, individualist insectoids, with 8 limbs, average height around 2m.
They are herbivores, and they reproduce very quickly, this is offset by an ability to live in small spaces with comfort (they do not for instance understand the need for a separate chair and bed or indeed a separate lounge or bed room, preferring to use a couch for both functions).
They split into three genders: Workers, Thinkers, and Egg layers; all of them easily distinguishable through the colours of the highlights. An Egg layer mates several times with Workers and Thinkers separately and then retreats to the nursery where it lays eggs and decides the offspring's gender accordingly to society's needs. Reproduction is obtained through exchange of bodily fluids, followed by an egg-laying process and after hatching, the Egg layer takes care of the larvae until they become pupae.
As a distinctive feature, their skin colour changes according to the light spectrum in witch it is watched.
Intelligence is slightly higher than that of an average human being, and the average life span is around 65 human years.
